Bing Gains More Marketing Share on Google

"Bing has gained more than 4% market share in the U.S. since it launched about a year ago, according to new figures from Experian Hitwise — growth that came at Google’s expense. According to Hitwise, Bing-powered search accounted for 28.99% of all searches in August, up from 28.05% the previous month," reports MarketingVox. "Hitwise also noted in its report that longer search queries — five to eight words or more — increased by 3% month over month, a stat that prompted WebProNews to wonder if the increase in longer search queries is a testament to people getting better at searching or the search engines not delivering as well on the shorter ones."
